Hola!!

Our third day of our cruise was spent in Ensenada, Mexico. We were just there last month on our mission trip, so it was fun to go back to the taco shop we had been to before. We did a little shopping and ate amazing carne asada tacos.

Our second day of the crusie was spent on Catalina Island. We walked around and shopped a bit. Someone gave us a $5 dollar off coupon for a store, so we got a discount for the flip flops Sarah bought. It's the small things in life... :)

Crusie pics

We went on a cruse the last week of February. It was kind of a last minute vacation that we planned when we found a great deal on a cruise online. We had a fantastic time. We were on the ship from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. We went to Catalina Island, Ensenada and spent one day on the sea. The weather was great for our two days off the ship. Enjoy some pics.

SUPER SATURDAY

I called this Saturday "Super Saturday" because it was the most beautiful Saturday we've had in a long time! One of the reasons why I like where we live is that it could be hailing and cold or even snowing today, but dry and sunny tomorrow. This is the second most sunny place in the USA.

We, Sarah's uncle and I, hit the golf course early, 8am just to avoid the "warm Saturday rush" yet we had to wait for more than thirty minutes before our names were called. I always enjoy golf and we had a great time. It's been raining cats and dogs here since January so everyone is excited right now with temperature in the 60s. There are so many outdoor activities here. It was my first golf game this year, so I decided to share the experience with you, above is my golf cart.

Sarah went shopping with her mom and sister, so later in the afternoon I went to a logging/construction conference with Sarah's dad and neice, Suzie. She had fun with all the equipments on display there. I ate the worst pizza ever at the conference.
That evening Sarah and I joined her parents to go hear a missionary couple share about their ministry in the Ukraine amongst orphans.
It was a Super Saturday!

SUPER TUESDAY

Yesterday I exercised my first voting right as a citizen of the USA.
It was an exciting time for me, knowing that I was taking part in the selection of the president of the United States. What made it more interesting is the fact that I know that "my vote counts"
Voting in Nigeria is totally different from voting here. It's so easy and convenient to vote here. Back in Nigeria, it's like chaos at the polling station and you might even loose your life.
Voting is also a formality in Nigeria cause there is massive rigging of votes there. I also found out that some one always votes with my name whether I'm there or not.
On our way to the polling station, Sarah and I decided to take pictures of the mountain terrain around where we live.

MEXICO MISSION TRIP

We went with a group from our church to Mexico for a week long mission trip in January. We spent our time at a home for boys in Tijuana. They're not orphans, but for various reasons their parents are unable to care for them. We had a great time and here's some pictures of our time in Mexico.
